Wow, Wow, Wow…
Is the only way I can describe my visit to mainland Greece and Syvota islands, the “Blue Lagoon” & “Diapora” beaches” thanks to Soula’s Corfu Travel Soula Sakadaki for one of the most inspiring & unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing.
Starting off in the port of Lefkimmi, I boarded the “Prestige” cruise boat, twenty minutes later I was swimming in the crystal-clear, azure waters of “Pisina” (also known as the “Blue Lagoon”)
The Captain of the boat was fantastic, with his humorous personality to charm all his “guests on his boat” he gave us plenty of time at each location to enjoy the magical scenery and take photos.
A visit to Syvota was another special moment, with the tavernas, gift shops (But not in a tacky way) and little streets to explore even more treasures on this two-hour visit.
Here I visited a small taverna on the harbour and had a plate of “Gigantes” and a side portion of Greek Meatballs called “Keftedes” served with a refreshing glass of lemonade.
The two hours flew by, so make sure you take plenty of photos and videos to capture this memorable experience.
The “Captain” then took us to his own “Blue Lagoon” his special place as he described it with, once again, the crystal clear sea was tempting me to swim, so I did, but if you are like me and not a strong swimmer, you are quite welcome to hang on to the steps or make use of the free floats and swimming goggles provided.
A very enjoyable cruise back to the port of Lefkimmi was accompanied with a selection of Greek music and some “Party music” as the captain described it.
With plenty of snacks, soft and alcoholic beverages on board….it was everything you could wish for and more on this magical experience.
